#4 - Photo bombs and selfies

 If you remember my post from April, Kevin is a bit addicted to selfies.

I've attempted to join in the fun, but my selfie-taking skills are not as good as Kevin's.  Granted I set the bar high and attempted all 3 kids at once.

#3 . . . A day at the . . .

We have been blessed with the beautiful weekend weather we've had this spring/early summer and have gotten to do a lot of fun things.  Here's a taste:

A day at the walk:
Despite the move to the new site in Reading, PA, we had a great day at our 4th year taking part of the Philadelphia area ASF National Walk.  Team Hope was well represented by a core group of walkers and our fundraising had another great year.  Thanks to all who make the trek to the new site from near and far and for all of you who contributed to our worthy cause.

A day at the zoo:
We love living in such close proximity to the Philly Zoo and are members once again this year.  Granddad is always up for meeting us there.

Note our goose friend who really wanted to join our snack time.  He was very persistent.

A day at the aquarium
The aquarium opened up an hour early on weekend mornings in June and that meant that we had the place almost completely to ourselves when we arrived with Grandmom, Pop, Jimmy and Abby.  Jack and Abby took the place over and ran from exhibit to exhibit.  Despite being a whirlwind tour, we all had a blast! (Kevin's pictures came out amazing!)

A day at the beach:
My dad inspired us to make a last minute day trip to Ocean City this past Sunday.  We lucked out as the weather was amazing.  We fit in many of our boardwalk favorites and had a blast in the water.  Such a fun day!

 We are going to have to hit Manco's & Manco's again this year as this does not fit the bill for our annual pizza photo.

#2 - Dinnertime entertainment

I hope this video speaks for itself.  We don't know where he learned it as he just started singing like this one day when Kevin was drumming on the table.  My favorite part is towards the end when Kevin stops drumming for a moment, so be sure to listen until then. 

#1: A whole lotta birthdays

Its been just about 3 months since my last update and my photo folder is overflowing with pics to share.  I’m going to try something novel and break this  up into a few short blips shared over the week.  Humor me . . . it’s my birthday week! 

In the last 3 months, we’ve celebrated seven birthdays in our family and that’s not counting the one I completely missed last week (a very belated Happy Birthday shout out to my sister-in-law Marianne!!!) and that other one coming up this week (wondering whose that is, reread above!). 

First was Jack and Hope’s 4^th birthday, then our nephew Jimmy (double digits-when did that happen?) who also shares his birthday with my dad, then came the BIRTHday of our new niece and nephew Josey and Danny, which was soon followed up by Erin’s first birthday. 

Phew.   

No wonder when I asked Jack yesterday if he wanted to go to a housewarming party, his response was “Party, will I get to eat birthday cake?”

Here are some of the highlights:

One of the big 4 year olds!

Jack got to take munchkins to pre-school.  Not the most amazing photo.  He wasn't so cooperative when I tried to delay his entrance into school.

Hope's school was closed that day so she was treated to a special birthday breakfast with Mom and Dad. 

 It's as if the bounce house was custom fit for our backyard.
