#1: A whole lotta birthdays

Its been just about 3 months since my last update and my photo folder is overflowing with pics to share.  I’m going to try something novel and break this  up into a few short blips shared over the week.  Humor me . . . it’s my birthday week!

In the last 3 months, we’ve celebrated seven birthdays in our family and that’s not counting the one I completely missed last week (a very belated Happy Birthday shout out to my sister-in-law Marianne!!!) and that other one coming up this week (wondering whose that is, reread above!).

First was Jack and Hope’s 4th birthday, then our nephew Jimmy (double digits-when did that happen?) who also shares his birthday with my dad, then came the BIRTHday of our new niece and nephew Josey and Danny, which was soon followed up by Erin’s first birthday.

Phew.

No wonder when I asked Jack yesterday if he wanted to go to a housewarming party, his response was “Party, will I get to eat birthday cake?”

Here are some of the highlights:

One of the big 4 year olds!
Jack got to take munchkins to pre-school.  Not the most amazing photo.  He wasn't so cooperative when I tried to delay his entrance into school.
Hope's school was closed that day so she was treated to a special birthday breakfast with Mom and Dad.
It's as if the bounce house was custom fit for our backyard.
Saying hello to Josey and Danny!
Some of Erin's little buddies at her birthday party -- babies of my childhood friends Dana (twins Raegan and Reilly) and Sharon (Cooper)  -- click on this one for a close up -- their faces are priceless.
The consequence of being the third child . . . this is the only photo I got of Erin's beautiful cake . . .
The benefit of being our 3rd child . . . we left her solo with the smash cupcake and boy did she enjoy it.  (click on photo to make it larger and see the damage she did)

-->Stay tuned . . . more updates to come!XOXO

Who's ready for some selfies?

As I started sorting through our pictures from the last few months, I learned that Kevin has recently amassed quite the collection of selfies with our kids.
Not to be outdone, Hope and I took our own amazing selfie.

The past few months have flown by --- Jack has celebrated a few birthdays in style:
and created his own super hero named "Glove Man"
He did a little reading in the car
and a lot of wrestling in the house . . .
When not teaching, coaching, or taking selfies, Kevin did a lot of this:
A couple weekends ago, I got to go here

And have one of these
 And a few of these
I discovered that there is a life size replica of Greece's Parthenon in Nashville . . . huh?
Erin has continued to take ridiculously cute photos
She occasionally shows off her Diva side for her daddy
She's a rolling machine whose two bottom teeth finally came in this week.
Her favorite toy is the TV remote
So much so that I bought her a toy one so she would stop turning off Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Hopie has taken an interest in drinking out of a sippy cup and is learning the art of photo bombing.
She likes to take family photo - action style
And coordinate her outfit with her baby sister
She gives the best hugs
and is a huge fan of her Daddy.
